Brussels is considered the de facto capital of the European Union, having a long history of hosting a number of principal EU institutions such as the official seats of the European Commission, Council of the European Union, and European Council, as well as a seat of the European Parliament. But, in addition,

Brussels has a well-recognized historical, architectural and cultural heritage. It prides itself on being more than just a city of culture as it would like to be a ‘city of cultures’. Multiculturalism in Brussels, in fact, extends beyond European identities to assure a really international allure and, therefore, it is the right venue to host the IFCC-EFLM EUROMEDLAB CONGRESS.

The congress will deliver a world-wide forum for the free and open exchange of information on the science and technology of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine in the academic, clinical, and industrial settings. The Congress will enable an international forum for clinical laboratory scientists, physicians, in vitro diagnostic (IVD) professionals and other stakeholders.

The Scientific Program Committee is actively working to put together a fantastic multidisciplinary program covering a broad range of important themes such as innovative fields, new biomarkers, advanced diagnostics and techniques used in laboratory medicine. One of the main goals is to make feasible the use of advanced technologies in clinical practice while assuring appropriateness and sustainability for the healthcare system. The program will feature plenary lectures, symposia on cutting-edge topics, oral presentations, posters and high-level educational workshops. Distinguished international speakers and key opinion leaders will deliver presentations in medicine and laboratory medicine, on recent diagnostic technologies, scientific advances, and current challenges to pursue an effective valuebased laboratory medicine.

The program should be designed to be interactive allowing time for discussions and assuring a valuable opportunity to the participants to improve their knowledge and skills. The IVD Sector will support the Congress organizing high-level Educational Workshops on important topics with eminent speakers presenting the latest scientific advances in all disciplines pertinent to laboratory medicine and a generous exhibition floor will allow the diagnostic industry to display their latest products. Therefore, please mark May 2025 for your next EUROMEDLAB experience in Brussels, Belgium.
